Nordic Milsim’s Minimilsim series has long bridged the gap between casual skirmishes and full-scale milsim events, offering an accessible introduction to milsim. However, as we’ve expanded into immersive multi-day events, the differences between Minimilsim and our vision of “real” milsim became clear.
Feedback from the 2024 season highlighted a shared desire for fresh challenges and innovation while preserving the series’ core strengths of teamwork and strategy. Inspired by Battlefield 4, BF4 Simulator (BF4-Sim) reimagines the format with Conquest, Rush, and Domination game modes, blending dynamic gameplay with airsoft realism.
The goal of this evolution is that our 2025 events remain exciting, engaging, and true to Nordic Milsim’s mission.
Introducing: BF4 Simulator (BF4-Sim)
For the 2025 season, we’re thrilled to announce the evolution of the Minimilsim series into the BF4 Simulator (BF4-Sim). This new series builds on the foundation of what made Minimilsim great, refining and rebranding it into something even more dynamic and exciting.
The BF4-Sim series will feature three unique game modes, inspired by the gameplay structure of Battlefield 4 while adapted for the immersive and strategic demands of airsoft:
Conquest:
Engage in battles for domination points spread across the area of operations (AO). Players can respawn at captured points, encouraging teamwork, strategy, and large-scale movements. This mode will feel familiar to fans of the original Minimilsim format.
Rush:
Work together to take control of objectives in a specific sequence. Intense firefights, coupled with strategic depth and teamwork, make this a heart-pounding experience.
Domination:
A smaller-scale mode similar to Conquest, but without uncapturable bases. Players cannot respawn at control points but will instead spawn around the map or on squadmates. With only three objectives in closer proximity, this mode emphasizes quick strategy and fast-paced action.

At Nordic Milsim, we immerse you in a thrilling and authentic military simulation set within a richly crafted fictional universe. Our events aren’t just games—they’re chapters in an epic saga, where the stakes are high, and every decision counts.
Imagine a world where NATO and Russia, along with their allies, are locked in an intense, large-scale conflict. This alternate universe is the stage for our meticulously designed scenarios, where you, the player, become a key figure in shaping the outcome of this ongoing war.
Each event is more than just a standalone experience; it’s a pivotal moment in a continuously evolving storyline. As you navigate through missions, your actions not only determine the current outcome but also ripple forward, influencing future events and the overall narrative. The history of previous battles is always present, providing context and depth, while your current choices set the stage for what’s to come.
Additionally, our events are divided into two distinct gameplay categories: force on force and insurgency.
In force on force events, two large military units are in direct conflict with each other throughout the entire event. The gameplay focuses on combat, with an emphasis on completing missions, seizing territory, leadership and teamwork among the units.
Insurgency events, however, start without direct confrontation. In these events, the military units are smaller, and a civilian population plays a significant role. These games have a strong LARP (Live Action Role Play) element, where the story progresses through interactions between players. The civilian population is central to the storyline, while the military units must complete tasks and advance the game with as little armed conflict as possible. In insurgency events, your imagination shapes your civilian character, but no one character takes center stage. You could play a range of roles, from a homeless person searching for food to a respected lawyer secretly selling weapons to insurgents by night.
Regardless of the event category, all games take place within the same shared fictional universe, where they influence one another and contribute to the overall storyline.
